Access:Vegoritida
en Plo can be located by following the road to Peraia (southern
exit of Arnissa towards Ptolemaida) and turning right (800m.
after Arnissa`s First Aid Station) to the dirt road towards the
ex-island.

Discover the magic of lake Vegoritida`s unique ecosystem, from
our one and only floating installation. The sole facility of its
kind all over Europe, provides an exquisite contact with the
lake`s flora and fauna. Built in the heart of the lake, on the
coast by what once was Vegoritida`s island, provides a full view
of the lake`s openess. The visitor may feast on drinks, coffee,
juices, soft drinks, may go on boat trips around the lake,
participate on coastal bicycle rides and walks, fish and watch
the bird life from special binoculars. A large TV Screen has
been installed and a lake information dvd is being played
frequently. Among other suprises, the visitor may enjoy barbeque
fish snacks from our grill in the open lake landscape.
Constructed from special floating pontoons, the facility is
consisted of a large catwalk at the end of which a platform is
attached, upon which a small pavillion is based. The pavillion
is no other than the fountain itself. The installation has been
designed upon strict ecological rules and operates with respect
to the local natural environment (ex. hostes a waste management
facility etc).
